Osaka was a great show. At the beginning after The Motel, the backing DAT tape suddenly began playing the next song, much to David's surprise. He looked out at the audience and said "Suimasen" which means 'I'm Sorry' in Japanese. It was quite funny, the audience cheered.

During Scary Monsters David shouted "Steve", one of the English fans that had travelled over for the tour with me. He had managed to get a ticket near the front. Diamond Dogs and A Small Plot of Land were given no introductions tonight, jumping straight into the music instead. David didn't use the small gong either to enhance the beginning of A Small Plot of Land. David sang slightly differently during Strangers When We Meet and again during Heroes, just making a variation to the norm which was nice. For the first encore Baby Universal was reintroduced to the set. David announced it by saying that last time he was in Japan was with Reeves and Tin Machine and this was one of their best songs. It was even better than the performance at the Budokan in Tokyo!

The second encores were the same as at Nagoya and again ended the night on a high note.
