After the cancellation of the Saturday show, fans were very worried that this show would follow suit, although Bowienet had confirmed that if David couldn't sing very well, something would still happen. Hmm, whatever that meant. Luckily our fears were not confirmed and the show went ahead as planned. David came on wearing a sailor style top and black trousers. His voice had recovered remarkably well (relief) and he sang Wild Is The Wind with seemingly little trouble. He did ask us to help him out with a few of the verses, although made an admirable job of it himself, only taking a break while the band jammed Jean Genie so he could get changed and have a drink (and some medicine).

He welcomed us all, saying "hello Bowienetters", to which we all shouted "hello David". He looked at us, laughed and said "nah, I want to hear you say 'hello sailor'. Hello Bowienetters". This time we correctly replied "Hello Sailor". Ha ha.

There were a few little surprises for us tonight, starting with the introduction of Denis Davis. Great! Hasn't been with David for some time. This was later followed by the presence of Tom Dolby who I believe hasn't performed with David since Live Aid in 1985. As it was the Bowienetters show David introduced one fan to us who had flown in from Tokyo, EriWilde. She was totally awestruck, saying the last thing she expected from this holiday was to be standing on stage with David Bowie, at which point her voice cracked slightly as if she was about to cry. Bless her.

During the weekend, Helen2 had been taking pictures of all us chat room goers and made up a collage to give to David. He brought it out on stage saying that not only could he talk to us but now he'd got to look at us aswell. Charming. He was quite amused with this little momento of us folk.

The two most surprising songs tonight were London Boys, during which Gail and Em played clarinets, and I Dig Everything. Rumours had been floating around the net, particularly about London Boys, but it was still a surprise to have them confirmed. I Dig was totally unexpected and totally amazing. I can't wait to hear the studio sessions of the sixties stuff that's on the horizon.
